After around 4 and a half years of inactivity, a new Kupfer (quick launcher) version was released 3 days ago, followed by 3 more releases since then.

The application has a new developer who ported the application to Python 3, GTK 3 and GObject Introspection, while also fixing various bugs.

A few days ago we had an article about a new Unity Revamped PPA that adds some tweaks to Ubuntu 12.04, among which there were some nice Ubuntu Touch-style assets for the Unity Launcher. If you're using Ubuntu 12.10 or 13.04 and want to use these Ubuntu Touch Launcher assets, you'll find instructions on how to do it below.

Unity Reboot is a custom Unity launcher that can be used to quickly reboot into a different OS / Linux distribution, useful for those who dual boot (or triple boot or... it should work with any number of operating systems, including Windows, various Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora, etc.). This isn't just for Unity and it should also work with docks that support Unity quicklists, like DockBarX, Cairo Dock or Plank.

Drawers lets you create launchers for Unity on which you can add applications as well as files, folders or even links so you can quickly access them from one place. 

A branch that implements minimize on click for the Unity launcher was proposed for merging into Unity but unfortunately it was rejected (bug report) because it's "unwanted behavior according to design".

ffDiaporama is a multi-platform application for creating videos from photos or movie clips. It supports various transition effects, titles/annotations, music and more.

Audacious 3.2 has finally been released. You probably already know what's new since Audacious 3.2 beta was already available in our unstable PPA, but here's the changelog again, just in case:
