RevLin OS: Would You Use It?

We've just got an email which points out that there is going work for a new operating system called RevLin OS. This is more of an announcement, because there are no downloads available for now, so I couldn't test it. But I really liked the concept - I must say that it sounds much better than Chrome OS, so I decided to share this news with you. Why better than Chrome OS? Read on!

Eyeos (Open-Source Cloud Computing OS) 2.0 Release Date Announced

Eyeos announced the release of their new Eyeos desktop 2.0 for January 1st, 2010 which is a complete re-write features lots of new features (read below!).

In case you don't know,

eyeos is an open source web desktop following the cloud computing concept. It is mainly written in PHP, XML, and Javascript. It acts as a platform for web applications written using the eyeos Toolkit. It includes a Desktop environment with 67 applications and system utilities. It is accessible by portable devices via its mobile front end. eyeos lets you upload your files and work with them no matter where you are. It contains applications like Word Processor, Address Book, PDF reader, and many more developed by the community.


This Eyeos update will feature a new UI, new applications, and new concept for how the web-based desktop should work, the update is more than a fresh coat of paint.
