Nautilus Elementary

The Nautilus Elementary project was shut down in November in favor of Marlin - a new file manager, but many people are still using Nautilus Elementary so ammonkey, the Nautilus Elementary developer decided to bring it back to life and update it to version 2.32.2 for both Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat as well as for Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal:

Although the project has been shut down since November, i still see many people using this outdated version of nautilus, distributions adopting it, artists working on stuning theme for it, which surprised me bit considering the project is unmaintained. I would like to thanks all of the nautilus-elementary supporters and specialy the archlinux community which has kept working on an up-to date version.

An update should come in the Nautilus Elementary PPA in the next couple of hours for both Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 so keep an eye on your update manager if you've added the PPA. But don't worry, we'll make a brand new post when it happens.

The new version will bring many bug fixes and no more Zeitgeist search engine (which I know many of you wanted).

For those who are not familiar with Nautilus Elementary: this is a Nautilus fork that adds various eyecandy to Nautilus, like the ClutterFlow view you can see in the above screenshot but functionality too such as an embedded Terminal, a customizable toolbar and the old "Edit location" button which was removed in the upstream Nautilus.

And because we've brought up Marlin: ammonkey needs help with this project so if you can help, check out this post.
