Ubuntu / Linux news and application reviews.

Talika is a Gnome Panel applet which displays only opened windows icons, instead of the usual icon + window name way of displaying opened windows which we covered before.

The latest version (0.22) which was released today adds some really interesting features:

  • Grouping of similar windows
  • Closing window on middle-click
  • Better menu positioning on vertical panel
  • Improved icon quality

After installing Talika, don't forget to restart the Gnome panel or log out and log back in:
sudo killall gnome-panel

Download Talika (Ubuntu .deb and source files available).
