FeedDemon is probably the best feed reading application for Windows which starting with version 3.0, introduced syncing with Google Reader, but also some ads in the bottom left corner of the window. Here is how to remove these ads:
1. Close any open instances of FeedDemon
2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc (if you have Windows installed on a different partition, change C:\ with your current Windows partition) and open the hosts file with Notepad.
3. Add the following lines to the hosts file:
and save the file.
That's it. Now, even though the "Ads via The Deck" message is still displayed, there won't be any ads below it.
