mound data manager

Mound Data Manager is a tool that can manage data in the context of other applications. You can take snapshots, delete, and move data from many of your favorite applications. As an example: one day, Firefox starts crashing due to a bad add-on or script. With this application, you could restore everything to a previous configuration which didn't encounter these problems.

The program is at version 0.2.1 and does not recognize many apps, but allows management of snapshots, see the difference between different snapshots and export them.

To install Mound Data Manager in Ubuntu, follow the steps below:

1. Open a terminal and paste the following command:

-for Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04:
sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jpeddicord/mound/ubuntu jaunty main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"


-for Ubuntu Karmic 9.10:
sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jpeddicord/mound/ubuntu karmic main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"


2. Add the GPG key:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys CC2ACA8F


3. Installing:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install mound-data-manager

After installing Mound Data Manager, you will find it under Applications > Accessories > Mound Data Manager.
