Hotspot Shield used to be a great application for accessing US-only content such as Hulu from outside the US but it doesn't work anymore. But now you can use proxy application IP Hider which masks the real IP of a user, allowing him to browse all kind of pages without ever worrying that the ISPs or any other marketing tool is monitoring your surfing habits or spammers are attacking your computer. As a result, sites like Hulu, which block access to folks surfing outside US borders, are now accessible to your foreign eyes. This should also work for Last.fm.

To make things really easy on you, DIY video web site Tinkernut has provided a simple video tutorial for using IP Hider to access Hulu, which we've embedded above.

IP Hider is Windows only, comes in both free and premium flavors (As far as we can tell, the premium version features dedicated proxy servers exclusively for paying IP Hider users.)
