Ubuntu / Linux news and application reviews.

A couple of days ago I was telling you about BTaccel, a browser-based BitTorrent client you can use to download .torrent files for you, and then you can download torrents from their website via HTTP.

Well, today we received an invitation code so Web Upd8 readers get 150 more invites for BTaccel. When you signup, enter this invite code: 100GBwebupd8150

What can BTaccel be used for? Well, for one: you can use it to download torrents from work or school if you have the BitTorrent ports blocked because when downloading from BTaccel, you use port 80 which is for browsing thus always open. And second: it protects your privacy and no one will know what your are downloading (you won't show up among the peers when downloading, etc.).
