Google has released a Firefox add-on called Page Speed. It integrates with another add-on, Firebug, and is aimed at web developers trying to make their pages faster. “Page Speed is a tool we’ve been using internally to improve the performance of our web pages,” Google writes.

To use it once installed, expand Firebug and switch to the Page Speed tool tab and click Analyze Performance. You will then have a list of things you did right and what Google thinks you did wrong. You will also be provided with help on solving those issues.

The addon works with MacOSX, Linux (both 32 and 64-bit) and Windows from XP up.
