dropboxee

Want to load up to 100MB of video, audio, or pictures into a Boxee media center without any file copying or configuration? DropBoxee, a new Boxee app, grabs and plays just about any media from a drop.io stash.

100MB is a pretty firm limit, of course, so movies and substantial playlists are out of the question for now. But DropBoxee seems like a pretty convenient way to pass along playlists, photos, and small home movies to friends using Boxee, or just set them aside for yourself when you're away from your entertainment center. As demonstrated at the developer's page below, DropBoxee can play back audio tracks while the other files in a drop, like pictures, are being viewed, making for a neat, quick slideshow maker.

All you have to do is:

  • Step 1: Drop your content in a drop.io
  • Step 2: Enter the drop name in the Dropboxee App on Boxee
  • Step 3: There is no Step 3
