Ubuntu / Linux news and application reviews.

Google recently introduced a new ‘Search Options’ panel in its search results pages that allows you to filter out search results on the basis of time, or type of content available in web pages. I’ve been using it for some time and I’ve really found the Search Options panel indispensable.

The only real annoyance is that the panel doesn’t pop up by default all the time. You need to click on the ‘Show Options’ link on top to expand the search options everytime you do a search.

This Greasemonkey script adds a &tbo=1 to the Google Search URL, so that the Show Options panel remains always visible.
