If you use a Nokia Symbian S60 device with the security code locking feauture enabled but you forgot the actual security code that you previously modified, you will need another code which is called the "mastercode" and here is what you can do to be able to use you phone again.

Go here, enter your phone's IMEI (to find out your IMEI, just type *#06# on your phone), and then use the generated mastercode just like it would be the security code. The security code will be then reset to its initial value which is 12345.

Do NOT try to format your phone because this will not work!

* I didn't try it on other Nokia devices except S60 but it may work on any Nokia handset too.
