An unreleased album by U2 was downloaded hundreds of thousands of times from BitTorrent and the word is that RIAA asked the social music service Last.fm for data about the users listening to unreleased songs. And Last.fm allowed RIAA to have access to their data.

This has been denied by Last.fm, including a co-founder, Richard Jones and Russ Garrett, a systems architect.
