Around 63 percent of the searches performed in the United States in January this year were performed by services owned by Google, down from 63.5 percent in December, according to comScore.
21 percent of the searches goes to Yahoo owned services, while 8.5 percent of the users in the US performed a search using Microsoft websites.

Yahoo grew 10%, with 2,9 billion searches, while Microsoft grew with 9%, thus reaching 1,2 bilion searches, in comparison with the same period of time of 2008.

Most online searches are performed using the "big" known search engines. This January: Google.com was used for 8.5 billion searches, Yahoo.com - 2.8 billion searches while MSN.com, 1.14 billion.
