Gmail has launched, a couple of weeks ago, the Multiple Inbox feature, where one can customize the different 'inboxes' he sees in one view when logging in to Gmail.

Recently, Gmail also launched a couple of tips in order to make life easier:

1. Multiple Inboxes can be turned on from the Labs tab under Settings as you see in the picture below:

2. Then, you set up a filter in order to auto-archive all mail sent to your work or school address.

3. Customize one of your multiple inboxes to show mail sent to your other address. In order to do so, go to the Multiple Inboxes tab under Settings and set up one of the panes to search for mail sent to your other address.

4. (Optional) Use a "custom from" address so that replies will be sent from Gmail but as if they're from your other account, so the others won't know the difference.
